It’s time to return to every pilot’s roots with an exciting event from the Winnipeg FIR! We are proud to present: VFR Views! An exhilarating opportunity to take to the skies in a manner that pilots rarely do on the VATSIM network. On August 18th beginning at 1800Z Winnipeg will be staffing up ALL SEVEN towers for your enjoyment! Do some circuits, practice your upper air work, or soar cross-country over the gorgeous prairies. In addition to the Winnipeg FIR’s seven towered airports (CYWG, CYQT, CYQR, CYXE, CYMJ, CYAV, CYPG) here are some suggested non-towered airports that could be an exciting destination, or departure: Brandon (CYBR) Prince Albert (CYPA) Gimli (CYGM) Steinbach North (CJB3) Steinbach South (CKK7) Kenora (CYQK) Yorkton (CYQV) Kindersley (CYKY) Please note: if weather conditions are not VFR, it is the responsibility of the pilot to adjust in-game weather settings to acceptable weather conditions, however the correct winds and altimeter setting must be maintained.
